HOT WINE AT KAMPA, CHARLES BRIDGE AND RIVER CRUISE AROUND SHINING PRAGUE

Kampa is a false island on the Vltava River in MalĆ” Strana (the Lesser Town), from which it is separated by an artificial mill race named Čertovka (Devil’s Stream). It is separated from the Prague quarter of SmĆchov by Å˜ĆÄnĆ Street. Originally, there was a small low sandy island with gardens, vineyards and a mill. Kampa got its current area and shape in 1541 when rubble from the fire of MalĆ” Strana and Hradčany was taken there.

The most sought-after attraction on Kampa is the so-called Lennon Wall, where people from all over the world honour John Lennon. You will also find the shortest Prague street there – Jiřího ČervenĆ©ho Street which is only 27 metres long.

Charles Bridge with a river cruise

The Vltava river and its dominant – the gothic 13th century Charles Bridge are an integral part of the Prague heritage. Since medieval ages Prague became an important centre of trade and a seat of the Czech Kings. The large urban area stretched on both sides of the Vltava river and so a construction of a bridge over the river became one of the conditions of its further development.

Experience an original canal boat from the end of 19th century. Boat ā€œVodouchā€ has got unique wooden interior with brass details. Historical stove heating during winter months. Certified shipmasters provide live commentary on Prague monuments and development of the Prague embankment while Berth officers usher the passengers aboard and provide refreshing drinks.

Old Town and New Town

Discover the most significant square of historical Prague which originated in the 12th century. It is the very place where the 27 Czech gentlemen were executed on 21th June 1621 and where the history of Czech lands was written many times. Beside the Old Town Hall and the Church of Our Lady before Tyn the square has several other dominants, the baroque St. Nicholas church, the Stone Bell house – a gothic city palace from the 14th century, and the Memorial to Master Jan Hus. During this tour, your guests will have the chance to learn more of the incredible people who made contributions to building the social and cultural centre of Prague over the years (amongst others: W. Am. Mozart, Nicollo Paganini, Tycho Brahe (Danish Astronomer) or Franz Kafka (the most celebrated Prague writer of Jewish origin). The Prague meridian can be seen there.

After the Old Town, the group will continue to walk and reach the Wenceslas Square, the central square of Prague and introduces the historic city centre of Prague. The 750m long and 60m wide boulevard dominated by the monumental building of National Museum and statue of St. Wenceslas was laid out over 600 years ago during the reign of Charles IV and was originally used as the main Prague horse market. Over the years it has been a regular parade ground for all kinds of organisations and political parties. From anti-communist uprisings to winning the World Ice Hockey Championships, this is where Czech`s come to protest and to celebrate. Crossing the frontier of New Town, the tour continues towards the Old town Square.

Christmas Markets

Enjoy the beautiful markets at the most Famous Old Town Square or Wenceslas Square. Both of these markets have an amazing atmosphere. Get a hot wine or baked chestnuts to double the experience.

Welcome Dinner at MLYNEC RESTAURANT

The best fine dining restaurant in Prague according to TripAdvisor users. Experience an electrifying atmosphere The river Vltava flowing under your feet.Ā  As you approach the rear of the dining space and step onto the terrace, the view takes your breath anyway. Here you are seated alongside the majestic Charles Bridge and the Old Town Tower. At the night the statues on the bridge come alive as they play their parts beneath powerful spotlights. While all this drama takes place outside, it is culinary excellence that takes center stage inside. 3 course meal with Unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks included.

Day 3. Saturday, November 25th: Prague

STRAHOV MONASTERY, HISTORICAL TRAM RIDE & PRAGUE CASTLE

Group would be picked up by original historical trams from beginning of 20th century. Guests enjoy short 30 min ride trough Old town ending next to Strahov Library.

After private visit of public not accessible parts of Library which is one of the most beautiful in the world, we can offer you welcome drink on the sunny terrace overlooking Prague. Once you are ready, we move to next important monument of Prague.

Prague Castle is the largest medieval castle complex in Europe. The Prague Castle complex, seat of Czech kings throughout the ages, comprises many buildings, including the gothic St. Vitus Cathedral (Prague`s most recognisable landmark), several palaces, a monastery, museums & galleries, viewing towers and St. George`s Basilica. The crown jewels are kept in Prague Castle, as are the relics of Bohemian kings, or precious Christian reliquary.

STRAHOV BREWERY

This is a large brew pub and restaurant located just behind the Prague Castle is one of Prague’s best mini-breweries, Klasterni Pivovar, also called Strahov Monastic Brewery. Today, Klasterni Pivovar is known for brewing rich, classic Czech lagers, a great IPA, as well as special seasonal brews. Serving fine food, and with a lively, classic Czech pub atmosphere, Klasterni Pivovar is popular among both Czechs and tourists alike.

Brewery and Restaurant

Klasterni Pivovar’s large complex is divided into 3 main parts: the courtyard, which is great place to enjoy your beer in pleasant weather, St.Norbert restaurant which is non-smoking, and the brewery itself, which is more of a pub atmosphere. The menu consists of traditional Czech dishes, prepared well, and which use ingredients from local Czech producers.

Beer tour and tasting

There are 3 beers which are always on tap at Klasterni Pivovar: Sv.Norbert Amber, Sv.Norbert Dark, and our favorite, Sv.Norbert IPA. All beers are unfiltered, and served perfectly fresh and cold. Seasonal beers are also available throughout the year. For example, during the spring they brew a wheat ale and at Christmas they tap a very unique and potent Christmas ale. These aren’t the only special beers brewed at Klasterni Pivovar- having a creative brew master, they’ve come up with a few other varieties, which appear occasionally in the restaurant or even make it to some beer festivals. However- these beers are brewed in limited quantities, and run out quickly. Brewing just 1,400 hectoliters a year, Klasterni Pivovar is a small operation, which is content to offer great beer made from quality ingredients, and isn’t focused on expanding their operation. During beer tour the guests will have the possibility to try local beer and typic Czech beer snack home-made pickled sausage.

According to a czech word Mince (= Coin) this restaurant was built in a house where originally the Coins were punched. An amazing position, right at the heart of Old Town Square, typical Czech kitchen, great beer and a nice place makes this place a great spot for a memorable dinner!

Concert in a Prague Church

In the city of hundred spires majority of towers visible from picturesque viewpoints belong to churches and basilicas out of which more than 10 are located in the very heart of Prague 1- The Old Town, Prague Castle area and Lesser Town (Little Quarter). Get inspired by monumental sacral architecture of roman, gothic, renaissance, neorenaissance or baroque churches and their history which dates back to 9th century where 2nd oldest church in Bomehia, Church of the Virgin Mary at Prague Castle, was founded.

Stop for a while during your walk through the Old Town and enjoy tones of organ concert prepared within premises of one of churches.
